Hi, I’m Carolyn.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing your success.
I specialize in:
Reactivity
Those dogs who like to bark and lunge at other dogs or new people. They can be a challenge for owners and trainers alike, but my approach is different and designed to help your dog learn to be neutral around their triggers.
Hyperactivity
High-energy, high-drive dogs are a blast to train but can be exhausting to live with. Learn how to train in a way that works with your dog’s energy, making life easier for both of you.
What I Do:
I help frustrated but devoted dog owners gain the confidence and skills to improve their dog’s behavior. My goal is for you to enjoy life with your dog—no matter how challenging they may be!
I work with dog owners worldwide, providing support for reactive and high-energy dogs.
Why I Do What I Do:
I know what it’s like to feel frustrated with your dog and unheard by trainers.
Most trainers enter the industry because they had a challenging dog who inspired them. My experience was different—my difficult dogs made me want nothing to do with dog trainers.
I remember saving up to hire a trainer to help with my dog Rocky's reactivity to strangers, only to have the trainer show up and sit on my couch for an hour, talking at me. No training, no actionable steps—just a recommendation to sign up for her expensive class. I felt cheated.
Years later came group classes with my hyperactive dog, Sam —the majority of class was spent listening to other students talk about their week while Sam barked and bounced around like a maniac, bored out of his mind. I left feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and no closer to having a well-trained dog.
Every trainer I worked with felt impersonal and generic, following a script that didn’t fit me or my dog. They didn’t understand our needs and seemed unprepared to work with such energetic and spirited dogs. I wasn’t interested in practicing ‘sit’ with clickers. I wanted skills that were useful and practical. I had wasted time and money with nothing to show for it.
That’s when I knew: there had to be a better way.
I became the trainer I wish I had back then—the one who listens, who gets to the root of the problem, and who actually helps you create real change. My students tell me all the time that they love how practical my training is. No fluff. No wasting time (or your money). Just the results you actually need.
I want to get to know you and your dog, finding a training approach that truly clicks. My goal is to support you from start to finish in a way that works for both of you.
Rocky, the dog who helped shape me into the trainer I am today.
